My name is Rachel. I am an aspiring author who derives most of my inspiration from my Christian faith. As a child, I loved being read stories by my mother and by the religious education leaders at the Catholic Church I attended. Though I struggled and was one of the last children in my grade to learn how to read, that never hindered my love for stories whether they were written, or being shared through a movie or play.

 

As I got older, I became a very curious individual who enjoyed researching various subjects and ideas in my free time. This led me to attain a bachelor's degree in publishing & literature from Hofstra University, with minors in world literature, world religions, and Italian & Italian American studies. Additionally, I earned a master’s degree in library and information science from the University at Buffalo. These degrees encompass my passions for literature, story-telling, Christianity, faith, and research. Growing up in an environment where curiosity and faith were encouraged allowed my creativity to flourish. Ultimately, it molded me into the writer I am today. 

 

My goal for this website is to share my writing journey and the experience of getting published, share my thoughts and opinions on various topics, and encourage discussions about literature and life to bring about stronger connections with one another.
